UniFi Network Application 9.0.108

Ubiquiti hat zum Jahresende 2024 noch eben schnell ein Update für den Unifi Controller (Network Application) herausgebracht. Nachfolgend der Original Text aus dem Forum bei Ubiquiti:

[Update] Die aktuelle offizielle Version ist noch immer die 8.6.9 - bei der Ende Dezember 2024 veröffentlichten Version handelt es sich um ein "Release Candidate", also eine Vorab-Version. [/Update Ende]

UniFi Network Application 9.0.108 adds Zone-Based Firewall, CyberSecure, Network Application API, and includes the improvements and bugfixes listed below.

 

Zone-Based Firewall settings

The new Zone-Based Firewall on UniFi Gateways categorizes different parts of your network into zones and allows for more granular and simplified policy management.

CyberSecure by ProofPoint

CyberSecure is an optional extension of our Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IPS/IDS) system, enhancing IPS/IDS with signatures from ProofPoint's expert security researchers. It is available as an optional per-site subscription. It is available for all UniFi (Cloud) Gateways besides the Express and UXG-Lite. Please note that our existing IPS/IDS remains free.

Network Application API

The API provides powerful tools to manage Sites, Devices, and Clients, offering access to detailed configuration, real-time status, and live statistics. It supports insights for WiFi, Wired, and VPN clients, including connection details.

 

Bugfixes

  • Fixed an issue where NAT rules sometimes didn't work on the UXG-Lite.
  • Fixed incorrect timezone for Network Application Activity Logging to SIEM Servers.
  • Fixed invalid mixed speed warning on ECS-Aggregation switches.
  • Fixed an issue where the Network Application changelogs were missing on fresh Network Server installations.
  • Fixed an issue where the last known uplink could be missing if it was a mesh uplink.

Update: Hosted Unifi-Controller 8.6.9

Wir haben unseren Hosted Unifi-Controller wieder ein Update verpasst:

 

UniFi Network Application 8.6.9 increases the VLAN limit on the EFG and UXG-Enterprise and includes the improvements and bugfixes listed below.

Improvements

  • Added the ability to filter the AP Density widget in the Dashboard by Radio Bands.
  • Added French, Italian, and Portuguese as languages.
  • Added Enhanced IoT Connectivity option in the advanced WiFi settings.
  • Improved connectivity for IoT devices.
  • Requires firmware version 6.6.78 and 7.0.66 or newer.
  • Added support for packet captures on WAN ports.
  • Improved the latency for loading the Dashboard.
  • Improved the user experience for the Dashboard.
  • Improved the user search experience within Hotspot Manager.
  • Improved searching within Settings.
  • Improved feedback in Port Manager when a device exceeds the Tagged VLAN Management limits.
  • Renamed AP Analyzer to Radio Manager and improved the user experience.
  • Renamed RF Scanning to AirTime Scan and is now available under Radios > Environment.
  • Updated validation for WiFi Settings when MLO is enabled. It now requires WPA3/WPA3 Enterprise.
  • Updated VLAN limit to 500 for the EFG and UXG-Enterprise.
  • Requires UniFi (Cloud) Gateway firmware version 4.1 or newer.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed the inability to load the Dashboard after restoring backups in rare cases.
  • Fixed an issue where some devices showed the AirTime scan but didn't support it.
  • Fixed the inability to upload images in the Hotspot Portal designer in rare cases.
  • Fixed an issue where users could configure NetFlow while the adopted Gateway didn't support it.
  • Fixed an issue where MAC ACLs didn't function correctly when using any as source or destination.
  • Fixed an issue where the Site-to-Site VPN status could be inaccurate on the Viewer page under Insights.
  • Fixed the inability to open Settings in rare cases.
  • Fixed an issue where some devices didn't list their signal strength in the AP Meshing settings.
  • Fixed Packet Capture issues for Access Points using MLO.
  • Fixed ISP Speed Test History on setups with a PPPoE connection.
  • Fixed the inability to set SFP28 ports with FEC configured to auto-negotiation.

Upgrade Enterprise Wi-Fi 6/6E (XV/XE Series) Access Points to release 6.6.0.3-r9.

Upgrade Enterprise Wi-Fi 5 (cnPilot) Access Points to release 4.2.3.1-r9.

 

MODEL / SYSTEM AFFECTED: All Enterprise Wi-Fi 6/6E (XV/XE series) and Wi-Fi 5 (cnPilot) Access Points.

REASON FOR Bulletin:
This bulletin addresses an issue with Enterprise Wi-Fi firmware 6.5.2 through 6.6.0.2 inefficiently managing writes to the NOR flash memory storage. This inefficiency is corrected in 6.6.0.3-r9 release, and we recommend all customers to upgrade their Wi-Fi 6/6E APs to this release. In addition, it is strongly recommended that all Wi-Fi 5 (cnPilot) Access Points use the 4.2.3.1-r9 release if they are running 6.x.

Symptom
There are no externally identifiable symptoms. Cambium has not received any field failures because of this issue. Any device that is running firmware version 6.5.2 through 6.6.0.2 are impacted.
